Pakistani company importing Russian-made Corona vaccine threatens to send it back if price not set
A federal government spokesman confirmed on Tuesday that a local pharmaceutical company importing the Russian-made Corona vaccine had threatened to sell the vaccine if the government did not set a favorable price for its imported vaccine. Next we will export to another country.
AGP Limited has stated that it is impossible to sell 50,000 corona vaccines imported at the price fixed by the government. The pharmaceutical company has taken the position that it is not possible to supply the vaccine at the price proposed by the government.
It may be recalled that the price of two doses of this vaccine was fixed at Rs. 8,449 by the pricing committee of DRAP. Despite the company’s threat, Federal Minister Asad Umran had said that DRAP had decided to keep the price of vaccines imported by a private company at Rs 8,445.
According to the federal correspondent, the government is already facing a lot of criticism for fixing the price of the vaccine as people are comparing the price of the vaccine with the price of the vaccine available in India and calling it very expensive. Because it is priced with a 30 30 landing cost formula.
The correspondent confirmed that AGP Limited wanted the price of the vaccine to be fixed between Rs 12,500 and Rs 13,000 to cover landing cost, freight charges, cold storage and other expenses.
