Ahmed Mujtaba, the national martial arts hero who defeated the Indian player, was given a warm welcome on his arrival in Quetta.
On arrival in Quetta, flower petals were showered on Ahmed Mujtaba and slogans of “Long live Pakistan” were chanted.
Ahmed Mujtaba was received by Parliamentary Secretaries Bushra Rind and Dhanish Kumar, Balochistan Government Spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani and Secretary Sports Imran Gachki among others.
Talking to media on the occasion, Ahmed Mujtaba said that he was thankful to Allah Almighty who gave him honor.
The national hero said that the day I had a fight with an Indian player was Kashmir Day, I believed in the prayers of the people for my victory, Allah gave me victory and I raised the Pakistani flag.
He said that there is no shortage of talent in Balochistan and requested the government to provide facilities for martial arts.
Balochistan government spokesman Liaquat Shahwani said that Ahmed Mujtaba had knocked out the Indian player within a minute on February 5. We celebrated Ahmed Mujtaba’s victory against the Indian player as a victory.
Liaquat Shahwani said that Ahmed Mujtaba belongs to Quetta and we are proud of him. Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan also congratulated Ahmed Mujtaba on his victory.
He said that today we received a warm welcome from our national hero.
It may be recalled that Ahmed Mujtaba had defeated his Indian rival in the Mixed Martial Arts Championship in Singapore.
