Pakistan has decided to allow private companies to import corona vaccine without price caps.
According to documents, the National Health Service, Regulations and Coordination Division had sought a special exemption on such imports.
The British news agency Reuters reports that the cabinet of Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved the proposal.
Special Health Minister Faisal Sultan has confirmed the decision of the Cabinet.
Faisal Sultan says that the people of Pakistan are planning for free corona vaccination, an open market option for a small minority who want to pay for the vaccine.
He added that the market will set competitive prices when vaccines become available.
