A bomb blast in the Afghan province of Kunar has killed five people, including a police commander.
According to Afghan media, a police vehicle was targeted in the blast last night.
According to media reports, a police vehicle was also targeted in Jalalabad city of Afghanistan this morning but the policemen remained safe and 3 civilians were injured in the blast.
A car bomb also injured 12 policemen in Kandahar Province.
The car bomb exploded at a checkpoint in Kandahar’s Arghandab district this morning, according to the Afghan Interior Ministry.
Meanwhile, Afghan Defense Ministry officials said that 16 members of the Taliban Red Unit were killed in an airstrike in Nawa district of Helmand province yesterday.
