Former captain of the national cricket team Shahid Afridi has said that the controversy between Mohammad Aamir and the coaches is an old tradition of Pakistan cricket while the board should treat the players like fathers.
Talking to media after the recording of Kashmir League anthem in Lahore, Shahid Afridi said that the board should have informed Muhammad Amir about the future of the player and should have called Aamir to end the problem.
Shahid Afridi said that coaches are not just a name for teaching, players have to be encouraged and supported, they should work together for the honor of the country. Thankfully, the defeat in New Zealand was not put on fitness this time.
The former captain said that ODI and Test cricket is being played to the players on the basis of T20 performances, which I see the new talent will disappear in the near future.
He further said that Shoaib Malik and Hafeez should be substituted and then the seniors should be dropped while Shoaib Malik should be brought back in the team before the T20 World Cup.
