Railway Minister Azam Khan Swati has said that big mafias have taken over the railway land.
Addressing the 4th All Pakistan Women Business Convention, Railway Minister Azam Swati said that women could play an important role in social, economic and human development.
Azam Swati said that the government believes in empowering women and the vision of the present government is to provide facilities to women in every field.
He said that railways should be an economic hub but unfortunately this did not happen. In the last 50 years, the railways have incurred a loss of Rs 1.2 trillion while in the last six months, the railways have incurred a loss of Rs 20.30 billion.
The Federal Minister said that business people need help for the betterment of railways, business community should give their ideas, broken railways will make Fakhar Pakistan a business in 6 to 9 months and run railways under business model, women also want railways. Can play an important role in development.
Azam Swati said that the existing infrastructure, the officers will run the railways with the help of laborers, they are paying full attention to safety in the railways, bringing the railways on business model and there is a lot of potential for development in the railways.
He said that big mafias have occupied the railway land, I will give up every inch and make the railways a profitable institution.
